
Tomorrow marks day three of the Adair County Fair in Greenfield.
Farm Bureau Financial Services will provide donuts and rolls while supplies last starting at 8:30am, along with the market lamb feeder pen, market sheep and breeding sheep shows at the Mid-American Arena. From 9-11am there will be a Senior and Veteran’s Day event at the 4-H and FFA Center, with Bear Grove Chainsaw Carving to perform their first show of the day at 9am in the courtyard.
At 10am, there will be a “farm animal make it and take it” event at the Varied Industries Building with a $5 fee for supplies. The quilt show at the Varied Industries Building will also begin at 10am, and last until 5pm, while the dog agility and meat goat shows will begin at 11am, with canines to perform in the east side of the fair shop building, and goats to be shown at the Mid-American Arena.
The second chainsaw carving show will take place at noon, with the bucket/bottle calf and bottle lamb and goat exhibitors interviews to begin at the same time in the poultry/rabbit barn. Dulcent Farms will host a “floral/garden make it and take it” event in the Varied Industries Building at 2pm, with the final performance by Bear Grove Chainsaw Carving at 3pm along with the bucket/bottle calf and bottle lamb show at the Mid-American Arena.
At 4pm there will be a “highland cow make and take woodcraft” event at the Varied Industries Building at 4pm with an $8 fee for supplies. Free face painting will take place near the Mid-American Arena from 4:30-6pm, with the Show Stock Buddies Livestock Show in the Arena at 5:30pm. To finish off the night, Vais Promotions will hold figure eight races in the grandstand arena beginning at 7:30pm. Grandstand entry for adults is $10, with entry for kids aged five to twelve set at $5.
