east-lincoln-way-project-update

A road project in Jefferson continues to move along.

City Administrator Scott Peterson says the East Lincoln Way project is going slowly, as the contractor InRoads is re-doing the intersections from Locust Street to the east. He explains the type of work that crews are doing and will continue to do for the next few days.

“At the intersections then, as part of this comprehensive project then, it is to take out the intersections, re-do the intersections, put in all proper handicap-accessible ramps at those intersections.”

Peterson is pleased to let people know that the project to widen the road from the Raccoon River Valley Trailhead to the east and re-surfacing will not take place until after the Greene County Fair. He adds that the contractor has until this fall to complete the project and is not facing any deadlines at this time.
