The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Softball team fell 4-0 Wednesday night against top-seeded North Polk to conclude the regular season.
The Tigers were not able to make it 12 consecutive wins as they lost to the Comets Wednesday night. North Polk scored one run in the bottom of the first, one in the second, and two in the sixth while keeping ADM scoreless to win 4-0. The Tigers’ 11-game winning streak was snapped one game prior to starting postseason Saturday.
Despite the loss, ADM finished 27-9 overall (13-3 inside the Raccoon River Conference) second behind North Polk, who went 16-0 in conference. The Tigers will now focus their attention to Saturday as they earned the number one seed for Class 4A Region 3. ADM will host either Creston or Indianola on Saturday in Adel at 7pm. Raccoon Valley Radio will broadcast the game on K107.9 KKRF, starting at 6:45pm.
