The Perry School Board met in regular session on Monday.

The board approved a resolution to narrow down a date for August 12th at 6pm for a hearing on the proposed issuance of approximately $17,000,000 in School Infrastructure sales, services, and use of tax revenue bonds. 

Other items on the agenda that were approved during the meeting include appointments of a board secretary and board treasurer, which were both granted to Kent Bultman, and Mariam Van Huekelem from Ahlers and Cooney Law Firm was appointed as the legal counsel. In addition to the appointments, the board approved the universal free breakfast for all students, a letter of agreement between Seventh Grade Special Education Teacher Codi Allen and the Perry Community School District.

The school board also approved the maintenance staff handbook, the paraeducator handbook, technology handbook, high school staff handbook, plus new hires for the track, football, and cross country teams, and hiring Lila Modlin as Perry’s Academic, Cultural, & Enrichment Services (PACES) Site Coordinator.
