Today we introduce the second of three candidates running for this year’s Greene County Fair Queen.
Addison Gannon is going to be a junior at Greene County High School this fall and has been in 4-H since fourth grade and is the vice president of the Washington Winners 4-H Club. She is a football and basketball cheerleader, along with playing volleyball, softball and running track, as well as being in the Interact Club and a youth group in church. Gannon is showing beef pen of three and swine and she talks about her favorite part of the Greene County Fair.
“My favorite part is all of the at night events like the rodeos and the truck pulls. I love watching those after a long day.”
Gannon explains her reason for why she wants to be this year’s county fair queen.
“I’ve always wanted to be Greene County Fair Queen ever since I was little, and it’s just something that I can now do, so I’m very excited to be doing it. I also want to be in a leadership role at this Greene County Fair and so this is a good way for me to do it. And then also, I want to represent my county at the state fair. And so I’m very excited to be running.”
Also vying for the fair queen crown is Grace Hardaway and Calleigh Fitzpatrick. The queen contest takes place at 7pm tomorrow in Clover Hall of the Greene County Fairgrounds.
