The 2024 Greene County Fair gets underway tomorrow and one of the highlights is the crowning of the county fair queen.

There are three candidates and one of them is the 2024 Greene County High School graduate Grace Hardaway. She was involved in basketball, track, choir, speech, along with having an active role in her church. Hardaway has been in 4-H for 12 years and FFA for two years. The Greenbrier 4-H Club member is showing her dog, sheep, and lots of static exhibits with photography and woodworking. She describes her favorite part about the Greene County Fair.

“My favorite part of the Greene County Fair is the atmosphere they have there. You can just tell everyone’s having an amazing time and that makes you want to be there even more.” 

Hardaway explains why she wants to be this year’s Greene County Fair Queen.

“I want for fair queen this year because it’s an amazing opportunity to grow as a person and meet multiple different people that you would not have met before.” 

Also running for county fair queen is Addison Gannon and Calleigh Fitzpatrick. The queen contest will be held on Wednesday at 7pm in Clover Hall of the fairgrounds.
