Dallas Center – Grimes baseball and softball will be back at home tonight with intriguing non conference games for both schools, with the boys to play against Ankeny and the girls to take on Carlisle. DCG girls are 29-5 while Carlisle is 26-8 on the season. The softball program is number 2 in 4A as of the late June poll. The boys are 31-2 on the season and are currently in the top 3 of the 4A poll. DCG girls

Carlisle has won the last four in the series against DCG, but the Mustangs will be looking to build upon their recent momentum and defend their home field. On the baseball side, the Mustangs will be taking on a team that is in their district and it could be potentially a future matchup in the postseason.

The boys will be playing at 7 pm and the girls will be playing at 7:30 as conditions are projected to be very nice this evening in Dallas Center.
