The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Softball team celebrated Senior Night on Monday with their ninth victory in a row.

The Tigers recently beat Raccoon River Conference opponent in Gilbert Monday 9-5, continuing their winning streak. Prior to the game, ADM took a moment to cherish their five seniors: Kaylee Smith, Cameran Smith, Olivia Wyant, Aubrey Winter, and Aleah Johnson. Cameran Smith illustrated that the bats are coming alive for the Tigers over the streak, and K. Smith agreed.

“I think we just kind of came to a point where we’re just going to give everything we’ve got. We’re coming into postseason, so just really taking the time to work in practice, and hit in practice.”

Wyant demonstrated that it’s important to not overlook any team.

“Oh, it’s very crucial. I mean that’s one thing that we’re really trying to work for is just one week at a time, and then breaking that down into one game and then one inning at a time, and then going from there and just going up and loud in the dugout and positive during every single thing.”

Winter, who catches, credits C. Smith and Lauren Hagedorn for pitching tremendously throughout the season, and being honored before the game to her was really special.

“It was very important to me, I just appreciate all the recognition for the past four years. The dedication I’ve put in in the offseason and just to get me to where I am today.”

ADM has beaten Urbandale, Ballard, Knoxville, Bondurant-Farrar, Winterset, Carlisle, Des Moines Roosevelt, Johnston, and Gilbert. The Tigers are 25-8 overall (13-2 RRC) and is scheduled to host Ankeny Centennial on Friday in Adel at 7:15pm.
