A utility company that is based in Jefferson recently held its member appreciation event and board members were selected.

According to Midland Power Cooperative, its members re-elected three board members and chose a new individual to replace a retiring member. The members who were re-elected included District 1 Director Randy Christensen, who represents most of Greene County, along with parts of Guthrie, Dallas, Calhoun and Boone counties; District 2 Director Jim Byriel, with Boone, Polk and Story counties; and District 3 Director Joel Skow, who has Humboldt, Webster and Kossuth counties. Francis Buckel was elected to replace Tom Ingebritson as District 4 Director for Story, Franklin, Hardin counties. 

Additionally, all board officers retained their titles, including Christensen as board secretary. Midland Power’s board is composed of 12 individuals, three from each of the four districts, and each member serves a three-year term.
