The 4th of July is this week, and residents of the major towns of Guthrie County need to remember the ordinances related to fireworks.
In Guthrie Center and Panora, fireworks are not allowed within city limits. For Stuart, fireworks are allowed from June 1st to July 8th, and can only be lit on private property. Additionally, fireworks can only be shot off between the hours of 9am and 10pm, except for July 4th and the Saturdays and Sundays directly preceding and following the holiday, when they are allowed between 9am and 11pm for Stuart residents to remember.
