The Adel Public Library is in the midst of its summer reading program, and Patron Services Manager Amy Puck is satisfied with the turnout.
Puck expresses that over 400 participants were in attendance during the Summer Reading Program Kickoff on June 7th. She noted that last year, in 2023, over 300 people attended the kickoff, which features plenty of kids and community volunteer activities. Puck explains that the numbers continued to rise in the month of June.
“We have over 600 patrons signed up for our summer reading, as we have also had over 3,000 patrons come through our library.”
The theme for the summer reading program revolves around traveling to different regions in the world. Puck reveals that the focus for the month of July will be on the continents of Antarctica, Asia, and Africa. More information about the summer reading program can be found on the Adel Library’s website or by calling the library at (515)-993-3512.
