The West Central Valley Wildcat baseball team hosted the Earlham Cardinals on Thursday and battled hard, but fell to Earlham in both games, 4-3 and 7-2.

The Wildcats battled in the first match up, notching in three runs on five hits which were all singles. Both teams would have six strike outs and two walks, but it would be the errors that would make a difference in the first game, as the Wildcats allowed two Cardinals to reach on errors. In the second game the Cardinal offense seemed to be firing on all cylinders as they stole three bases against the Wildcats.

Now at 6-20 for the season, the West Central Valley Wildcats prepare for the first round of IHSAA 2A Substate 8 baseball against Red Oak on the 6th.
