Dallas Center – Grimes softball is turning the page to the critical month of July with a big slate on the way, one that begins tonight when they take on the Oskaloosa Indians at home in Little Hawkeye Conference play. DCG is 28-5 on the season while Oskaloosa is 11-18 on the year.

DCG is coming off of a couple of nice wins on Friday when they defeated Dowling Catholic 4-3 and Urbandale 8-6. The Mustangs found out about their bracket last week, and they will be in Class 4A -Region 3 where they are the top seed in the region. They will be playing the winner of Bishop Heelan/Carroll in Dallas Center on Saturday, July 13th at 7pm. If they win, they would have another game on Tuesday, July 16th at home for the opportunity to go to the state tournament in Fort Dodge.
