The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Softball team has now won eight in a row as they won two games in Grimes.

The Tigers played two games on Friday as part of the Dallas Center-Grimes Invitational against Des Moines Roosevelt and Johnston. ADM beat the Roughriders 8-0 as they scored one run in the bottom of the first, four in the third, and three in the seventh. Kaylee Smith had three hits, two runs, and one RBI. Madi James added two hits, two runs, and two RBI’s. Starting Pitcher Cameran Smith finished five and 1/3 innings, and had four strikeouts.

The Tigers defeated the Dragons of Johnston 6-1 in the second game as ADM scored two runs in the first, one in the fourth, one in the sixth, and two in the seventh. In that game, Aniston Tollari tallied two hits, two runs, and stole two bases, then Olivia Wyant contributed with one hit, one home run, and one RBI. Lauren Hagedorn pitched seven innings and struck out six batters.

ADM is now 24-8 on the season and will return to the Raccoon River Conference tonight with a home game versus Gilbert. ADM beat Gilbert 4-2 on June 10th on the road, and is looking for the season sweep. First pitch is set for 7:15pm and Raccoon Valley Radio will carry the broadcast on K107.9 KKRF, starting at 7pm.
