During their June meeting, the Panorama School Board approved the first reading of a bullying/harassment handbook for the district.
Superintendent Kasey Huebner mentions it was something that administration thought was important, and so it was brought to the Board for formal adoption. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio what the handbook does for the district.
“It provides students and parents and staff members with clear definitions of social behaviors that include bullying, peer conflict, just mean rude behavior, harassment, and it just gives information how to respond, report, and get help if need be.”
Huebner continues that the item will be on the July regular meeting agenda as well for the second and final required reading. He adds that he doesn’t see an issue with it being passed, as it can be a big help once adopted.
