Drought conditions in the three main counties of the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area remain the same as in last week’s report from the US Drought Monitor.

The northwest corner of Dallas County, southern edge of Greene County and northern half of Guthrie County are all in abnormally dry conditions. According to the National Weather Service, as of June 28th Guthrie Center has recorded 4.69 inches of rain, and usually reports 4.91 inches. Jefferson has had 3.08 inches of rain and usually records 4.86 inches, while Perry has reported 2.05 inches of rain, and usually has 4.41 inches of rain by this time of the month.
