1500x500-2

It was a tough Friday night for Perry as they started a little bit early to avoid some rain and that might have disrupted the rhythm of this Bluejay team. Drake Levan started this game on the mound and the Huskies gave him a rough greeting. Tate Thompson singled a run in the first then two more scored in the second on a two-out, two RBI double by Reed Smith. The Bluejays did what they could to try and respond but Perry only totaled three hits in this game.

The third inning is when the wheels began to fall off for the Bluejays as Winterset scored three runs to make it 9-0. The top of the third started with three consecutive doubles as the Huskies batted ten that inning. Kaelen Davis had relieved Drake Levan of his pitching duties by this point and it was Wyitt Belgarde who came in after him to finish the game for the Bluejays. Three more came across in the fourth and that cemented the victory for the Huskies. Perry couldn’t muster a hit in the final two innings against Josiah Hornback who pitched well the whole gaa]me.

Perry will host Creston on the first day of the new month looking to get one back on their home turf.
