All three counties in the Raccoon Valley Radio area saw increases in the May unemployment report.

According to Iowa Workforce Development, Greene County had a 0.7 percent jump in unemployment from April to May to 2.3 percent. Guthrie County was up 0.6 percent from April to May in unemployment to 2.5 percent. Dallas County had an increase of 0.5 percent from April to May to 2.4 percent. 

Statewide, the unemployment rate remained the same from April to May of 2.8 percent. The national unemployment rate for May was four percent.
