At the AC/GC Chargers Senior Night games against the Panorama Panthers Monday, one softball senior received extra recognition.

It was announced that Emerson Van Meter, the pitcher for the team, was selected to the 2023-24 All-Academic Softball team by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association. Athletes are only able to be selected for the team if they have a cumulative grade point average above 3.75, and an ACT score of at least 27. Van Meter and the rest of the seniors were able to help lead the team to a 5-0 victory over the Panthers for the night.
