The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Baseball team lost a tough game to Carlisle Thursday 2-1 in eight innings.
The Tigers traveled to the home of the Wildcats in Carlisle for a battle inside the Raccoon River Conference. ADM led 1-0 in the top of the first, then Carlisle tied things up in the bottom of the second. The game would go the distance before the Wildcats hit a walkoff from Kam Jorgensen to score Isaac Burk to capture the 2-1 victory.
The one run from the Tigers was scored from Rhylan Stine-Smith. ADM as a team had five hits, while Carlisle scored two runs on three hits. The Tigers’ Grant Rychnovsky pitched seven innings, striking out 11 and the Wildcats Evan Mott went eight innings, walked two batters and struck out two.
ADM falls to 12-13 overall (7-7 RRC) and will be off until they host Gilbert on Monday in Adel at 7pm.
