The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Softball team beat Carlisle 3-2 in eight innings to avenge earlier loss in Adel.

The Tigers were on the road Thursday in Carlisle and found themselves down 1-0 after the first inning, but would get the equalizer in the top of the second inning to tie the game 1-1 against the Wildcats. ADM led briefly 2-1 after scoring in the top of the sixth inning, but Carlisle responded in the bottom of the inning with runners on the corners to score another run to be locked in 2-2 heading into the seventh. Neither team scored leading to extra innings, but in the top of the eighth inning, ADM’s Aniston Tollari hit a suicide squeeze bunt to score Madi James.

The Tigers Olivia Wyant tallied a solo home run and Lauren Hagedorn finished with eight strikeouts and allowed four hits. ADM is now 21-8 overall (12-2 inside the Raccoon River Conference) and will participate in the Dallas Center-Grimes Invitational today.
