The Jayettes grabbed the victory last night over Greene County.  Perry was an 11-1 winner.  The Jayettes wasted no time scoring in the bottom of the first, added two more in the second, exploded for six in the fourth, and walked it off with two in the fifth.  Maci Tunink picked up the complete game win.  She surrendered just one hit in the 5 inning mercy rule game.  Karagyn Whelchel and Tunink both had 3 RBI’s in the win.  Perry had 10 combined hits in the 11-1 victory.

The Jayettes improve to 7-16 and 6-8 in the Heart of Iowa Conference.  They will take the rest of the week off before returning to action on July 1st in Pella.
