Dallas Center – Grimes baseball and softball both were continuing on with Little Hawkeye Conference play on Wednesday night when they took on the Newton Cardinals. Both teams found wins with boys baseball winning 8-1 and 5-1 while girls softball was able to pick up the victory 14-1 and 19-3. Baseball moves to 29-2 and softball at 25-5.

DCG was able to get to work quickly in all of their games, and add more wins across the board. The Mustang teams will be finding out about postseason pairings soon, and it should set up both teams in really good shape going forward.

DCG boys baseball will be back on the diamond tonight to take on North Polk while the girls will be playing in their own tournament tomorrow and Saturday.
