A couple of individuals were shown appreciation for their dedication to the community during Tuesday’s Board of Supervisors meeting.
The board began the meeting by recognizing Beth Deardorff, who works in Human Resources for the board, and Danielle King, who is part of the Dallas County Auditor’s Office for their five years. There were a total of 12 people on the list, but there were only two present.
Items on the agenda that were approved during the meeting included a construction management at risk agreement with Turner Construction for the new criminal court building in Adel. Also, Dallas County Sheriff Adam Infante’s request for a new vehicle was granted by the board. Infante asked to trade in the current minivan for a newer Chrysler Pacifica by July 2025.
An amended resolution for a 28E agreement for the City of Grimes was laid out by Engineer Al Miller as he noted that the City of Urbandale dropped out of the original contract after a conflict with the City of Grimes. The resolution was approved by the board as well as finance operations with the Secondary Roads Department.
