Southeast Valley was a 12-4 non-conference high school softball winner over Greene County in Jefferson on Tuesday night. The Jaguars improved to 15-6 while the Rams fell to 4-16.
SEV used seven extra base hits in a 15 hit attack, Chloe Lambert hit a two-run homer and the Jaguars added six doubles. The Rams had six hits with a single, double, and two runs batted in for junior Danielle Madsen. Violet Reedy singled twice and drove in a run, and freshman Sara Morlan doubled and walked three times. Freshman pinch hitter Kaliyah Minnihan had an infield hit for Coach Tom Kennedy’s team.
Freshman Alaina Heard took the pitching loss for the Rams. She walked one batter, hit one with a pitch, and recorded four strikeouts.
The Rams go to Perry to play the Jayettes at 7:30 p.m. on KDLS 1310 AM. Perry won the first meeting by a 6-4 score in Jefferson.
