The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday morning.
The Board approved using Wixted and Company as their communications manager for the emergency medical services (EMS) ballot measure after speaking with Representative Eileen Wixted and covering what that plan may look like.
The Board then heard an update from Guthrie County Health Services Director Jotham Arber on some things he’d like to work on to get the transfer station better prepared in the event of a natural disaster, especially after learning some things while helping with cleanup and recovery in Greenfield following the May 21st tornado. They then discussed EMS bids in response to the request for proposal, and approved working with Panora EMS, Stuart Rescue and Adair Fire and Rescue, and negotiate with them to get the system to where they would like it to be. The Board will be holding a special meeting on Friday at 1pm to begin workshopping some ideas.
