Dallas Center – Grimes baseball will be on KDLS2 webstream and raccoonvalleyradio.com tonight as they look to bounce back from their first loss in the month of June. The Mustangs walk in with a 27-2 record and will be on the road against the Newton Cardinals.

DCG was shutout for the first time this season and lost their first conference game against Indianola on Monday night 5-0. The blemish though is a limited one for DCG, who will be making their final impression tonight before postseason pairings for 4A are released tomorrow. DCG is expected to be a number 1 seed in their to be determined region.

They’ve won seven straight in the series and has won sixteen of the last seventeen overall against the Newton Cardinals. Mustang baseball has seen some dominating efforts overall, as they are currently 3rd as a program in 4A in run differential, where they have out scored opponents by 155 runs so far this season.
