Saydel (Des Moines) and Greene County met at Allensworth Field in Jefferson on Monday night in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference baseball. The visiting Eagles won 8-1 after trailing early, 1-0. Saydel is 21-8 overall and 10-3 in the conference while the Rams fall to 1-11 in league play and 1-14 on the season.

Sophomore Teagan Chisholm pitched the first five-plus innings and he allowed seven runs, five of those earned. Sophomore Nathan Towers threw the final two innings and allowed an earned run.

The Rams had six hits, all singles, with two from junior Camden Jacobs, and he had the lone run batted in for the Rams. Towers, junior Lane Fields, freshman Jaron Jacobs, and junior Gavyn Winters each singled once.
