The West Central Valley Community School District will be holding a special school election on July 9th.
Between now and that time, residents of the 1 Northwest and 2 Northeast voting districts will need to make sure they are registered to vote for the Board of Directors Districts Six and Seven to fill vacancies. Voters who are not pre-registered will need to do so by 5pm June 25th, and must provide proof of residence in their district. All those pre-registered to vote will have to show an approved form of identification at the polling place before they will receive an be allowed to cast a regular ballot.
Any voter who is not able to physically enter the polling place has the right to vote in their vehicle. Both voting districts will report to the Stuart American legion Hall at 323 Southwest 2nd Street, between the hours of 7am and 8pm. Candidates for West Central Valley Board of Directors District Six include Laura Weber and Dustin Foster, while the candidate on file for District Seven is Jeff Dudley.
