It’s Heart of Iowa Activities Conference softball tonight for the Greene County Rams in State Center vs. West Marshall. Originally, the two baseball teams were also to play in State Center tonight, but wet grounds forced WM school officials to postpone until June 27 pending lining up officials.

Times are tough right now for the softball Rams as Coach Tom Kennedy’s team is 4-12 overall and 3-8 in conference games. Defensive lapses have hurt at times, and pitchers have struggled with control, both in walking batters and hitting them with pitches. The softball team also recently saw their team batting average dip below .300 .

The Trojans are 16-4 in softball with just one loss in conference play.
