The Dallas County Secondary Roads Department is busy planning for a future project in the Perry area.

Dallas County Engineer Al Miller tells Raccoon Valley Radio the department is currently working along County Road P58 to make way for a future project. Miller highlights that the work is to replace a number of culverts that lie underneath the pavement on P58 to prepare for a pavement rehabilitation project. Miller dives deeper into the department’s process.

“Our crews will then come in after that and replace the concrete in those patch areas where we had to remove it to get those culverts replaced.”

Miller describes that the department has about another month, depending on weather, to get those culverts replaced. He illustrates that the project will affect County Road F51 and Highway 44. County Road P58 connects the City of Perry to Interstate 80.
