Winners of the Championship Flight

The third annual Greene County Medical Center Foundation Golf Tournament was recently held.

The tournament was held on Friday, June 7th at the Jefferson Community Golf Course and Foundation Director Nancy Houska was pleased by the turnout and is happy to announce that close to $18,000 was raised. She thanks everyone for their generous support as the funds will be used for services, programs and equipment needs of the medical center. Houska notes that this successful golf outing is one of the many ways that help the medical center with its mission and vision of Always Here, Always Caring. A donation was also made to the Bell Tower Festival.

The lowest score of the Championship Flight was 58 and the winners were from the combined team of Jefferson Family Dentistry, Fortress Insurance and Hupp Home Services. The team from Iowa Central Community College took home first place in the First Flight with a score of 68. Other various prizes were for longest drive and longest putt, along with trivia and poker games, and putting competitions. Some of the prizes that were sponsored by Home State Bank included a new Titleist golf bag, a stainless steel fire pit, Murphy Farm Meats snacks, golf accessories, among other items.

Greene County Medical Center Auxiliary donated doughnut holes in the morning, Jefferson Hy-Vee served pork loin sandwiches for lunch and the medical center’s nutrition department gave out snacks. 

The tournament’s success was made possible thanks to the many players and sponsors, including hole-in-one sponsors: Assured Partners; Iowa Hospital Association; ServiShare; Drees Company; Heartland Bank; Home State Bank; Hy-Vee; SCP Health; UnityPoint Des Moines; Wild Rose Casino and 21st Century Rehab.
