The Warren Cultural Center in Greenfield is hosting a fun event Saturday.

It will be the inaugural Ice Cream Social, with the evening including entertainment, local art vendors, live music and a live podcast recording with Greenfield natives Austin Buckner and Trebor Holder. The social will also serve as a fundraiser for the Greater Greenfield Community Foundation’s tornado relief fund.

The doors will open at 5pm, with art vendors in the second floor lobby, including Electrocutie Beauty, Skald Stone Productions, Green unicorn Art, Spotted Dot Photography and Design, and many others. The live entertainment will kick off at 7pm, with the live podcast Ice Cream Sunday by Buckner and Holder. Wendi Lane, another Greenfield native will be their guest for the evening. The podcast will last for an hour, when Night Like This, an alternative rock band out of Des Moines, will start their performance at 8pm. The group covers a variety of genres like alternative, pop and country, but mainly performs 1990’s and early 2000’s alternative.

Admission for the event is $10 per person for adults, and free for those 18 years old or younger. Tickets can be purchased at the Warren Cultural Center’s website.
