Wins have been tough to come by so far for the Greene County High School baseball team, as have hits for that matter. A lack of prowess at the plate has been as issue for the Rams, however juniors Crew Conner and Camden Jacobs have made huge strides and lead the team in several offensive categories for a Greene County team averaging less than three runs per game.

Jacobs is 10 for 30 for a .333 batting average and Conner is 10 for 32 and enters this week hitting .312. Conner has a pair of doubles, each coming in the last two games, and those are the only extra base hits the Rams have had all season. Both Conner and Jacobs have driven in three runs.

Coach Kyle Stalder’s team takes a 1-11 overall record and 1-9 Heart of Iowa Activities Conference mark into a road contest tomorrow in Nevada.
