A garage in the City of Perry was destroyed Wednesday morning after a fire erupted.

Perry Fire Chief Grason Hill tells Raccoon Valley Radio that emergency crews responded to the fire at Willis Avenue and 16th Street around 4:40am. Hill notes that the residents of the home woke up early Wednesday morning to find their garage on fire and at this time he indicates  the cause of the fire is undetermined. He describes that the fire extended out the neighbor’s fence, where it was contained from doing any additional damage.

Hill mentions that no one was hurt during the fire but comments that the garage is considered a total loss. The Bouton and Woodward Fire Departments provided assistance. According to the Perry School District, the fire has affected the internet connection and caused disruption to the phone service. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
