Guthrie Center is continuing with their second day of the city wide garage sales today.

City Clerk Kris Arrasmith says that the garage sales started yesterday, and individuals have been able to go around town and check out different items that residents are looking to get rid of. She adds that maps can be found at City Hall, Guthrie County State Bank, Peoples Bank, Casey’s General Store, Sparky’s One Stop, Dollar General and Hometown Foods. There are no set hours for residents to have their garage sales, so they are going on throughout the day.

Next week, on Friday June 21st, city wide clean up will take place. Arrasmith mentions the deadline for signing up is this Wednesday, June 19th, with a minimum charge of $25, and extra fees for items like tires, TV’s, monitors, refrigerators, freezers, VCR’s, printers and computers. All proceeds from the clean up go to the Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center baseball team.
