The West Central Valley Wildcat softball team traveled to Nodaway Valley to take on the Nodaway Valley Wolverines on Wednesday night. This contest came down to the wire, but the Wildcats managed to secure a 1 point lead to win the game, 4-3. The Wildcats took the lead early,  scoring a run in the top of the first, then scoring 3 runs in the third bringing the score to 4-0. The Wolverines would respond in the bottom of the fourth and fifth, scoring 2 in the fourth and 1 in the fifth. From here, both teams would play phenomenal defense, resulting in the Wildcats prevailing over the Wolverines 4-3.

This win puts the Wildcats back at .500 for the season, as the Wildcat softball team sits at 10-10 so far in the season.
