Boone defeated Perry 5-4 Thursday night in non conference baseball action from Memorial Stadium in Boone.  The Toreadors scored the winning run in the bottom of the sixth inning when Dylan England delivered a double off the left field wall scoring the winning run and giving Boone the 5-4 victory.

Owen Myers took the loss out of the bullpen despite pitching well.  The junior right hander went five innings allowing only three hits and two earned runs.  Kaelan Davis started game and was chased in the second after allowing seven hits in his one inning of work.

Perry jumped out to a quick lead in the first inning.  Geren Kenney singled to start the game and was brought in by a Davis sacrifice fly.  Trailing 4-2, Perry battled back in the fifth inning with RBI’s from Davis and Wyitt Belgarde.

Myers and Davis led the Bluejay offense with a pair of hits while Davis finished with 2 RBI’s.

Perry has now dropped four one run games this season and will look to regroup over the weekend with practice time during a rare idle Friday night.

The Bluejays (6-11) return to action Monday night at PCM.  Boone improves to 10-8.
