After 10 straight losses to begin the high school baseball season the Greene County Rams broke into the win column in a big way on Monday night. Coach Kyle Stalder’s Rams won 12-4 at Allensworth Field vs. South Hamilton (Jewell) and they’ll look to keep things going tonight when Roland-Story (Story City) visits the Rams at Allensworth Field.

Prior to Monday, Greene County had not scored more than four runs in a game and was averaging just four hits per contest. The Rams also went the first 10 games of the season without an extra base hit. They broke out with 12 runs, 14 hits, including a double, and will take a 1-10 record, 1-8 in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference play into tonight’s 7:30 p.m. contest with the Norsemen (9-7, 5-4). R-S won the first meeting last month by a 15-1 final.
