The AC/GC Chargers hosted the Madrid Tigers for some varsity doubleheader action between the two teams.

The Chargers softball team was able to come away with a 2-1 victory in the first of their two games, with the two teams tied at one run going into the final inning, where the Chargers collected one more to take the game. In game two, AC/GC was held scoreless in the first three innings, while allowing three runs in the first inning, and keeping Madrid scoreless the next two innings. The Chargers picked up their single run of the game in the fourth inning, and held the Tigers scoreless once again, but the team was unable to collect another run the rest of the game, while Madrid put in a run in the fifth and sixth innings, ending the game with a 5-1 loss for AC/GC.

The baseball team kept things close in their first game of the night, with each team collecting a run in the first inning. The Tigers racked up two more runs in the second while holding the Chargers scoreless, and things reversed for the third inning, where AC/GC put up their second run of the game. In the fourth inning, Madrid stacked up six runs, while the Chargers put up one, and with four runs in the fifth inning, the game ended with a 13-3 loss for the Chargers.

The second game was similar, with the game staying fairly close in the early innings. The Tigers picked up a combined three runs in the first two innings while the Chargers were held scoreless. In the third inning, AC/GC held Madrid scoreless, while putting up four runs and taking the 4-3 lead. The fourth inning saw the Tigers come back, racking up seven runs while the Chargers were scoreless, and in the fifth inning AC/GC put up two runs while keeping Madrid from scoring, trailing 7-6 going into the next inning. The Tigers piled on eight runs in the sixth inning, with the Chargers recording four of their own, but AC/GC was held scoreless in the seventh while allowing one run, and the game ended with a 19-10 loss.
