The Stuart Public Library will be hosting some fun events soon.

Librarian Rachel Majerus says that they have a few events planned for this week, with one being their monthly Books and Badges. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio about the theme for June.

“Sergeant Katie (Guisinger) will be presenting our books for storytime that day, and she will be giving away books. The theme this month is donuts, one of Sergeant Katie’s favorite things to focus in on because June also houses National Donut Day. And I believe there is talk of a donut bar afterwards for our littles to get some treats and possibly for our adults to win a donut maker machine.”

Majerus mentions that they will also be having their Drop Everything and Read hour on Friday beginning at 3pm. She adds that next week the cookbook club will meet on Monday at noon, with a Lunch and Learn on June 18th with Hospice of the Midwest to present information on hospice care. Majerus explains that they will also have their poetry club meeting on June 19th at 1pm, with sign up for the summer library program at 5pm.
