The official start of the summer season is later this month and Greene County Extension is offering a program on how to preserve the taste of the warmer months.

A Food Preservation Workshop takes place tomorrow from 5-8:30pm at the Greene County Extension Office in Jefferson. Participants will learn how to can certain produce, make jam and dehydrate different foods, which will be taught by ISU Extension Human Sciences Specialist-Food and Health Renee Sweers. Attendees will also get to take home a jar of jam that they will make during the workshop.
