The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Baseball team kept the bats alive as they tally 10 runs against Gilbert Monday.
Similar to softball, ADM got one run across in the top of the first inning, then racked off five to follow it up in the second as the lead grew to 6-0 after two. ADM would stretch out the lead to 8-0 in the fourth before Gilbert garnered three in the bottom of the inning to cut the deficit to 8-3. Two more runs would be scored from ADM in the top of the sixth and Gilbert would add another in the bottom of the sixth as ADM would go onto win 10-4.
The ADM Tigers are now 10-9 overall (5-3 inside the Raccoon River Conference) while Gilbert falls to 3-10 overall (2-6 RRC). ADM continues to stay hot as they’ve won the last five in a row. Up next for ADM is a home game on Wednesday versus Boone, which will be broadcast on K107.9 KKRF, and Gilbert will be traveling to Saydel tonight for a matchup against the Eagles.
