The Guthrie Center City Council will meet in regular session tonight.

The Council will consider for approval a liquor permit for Orchard Family Restaurant, a building permit for the 100 block of North 6th Street,and hear results from the camera team that checked out the lagoon. They will also hear an update on the Mary J Barnett Memorial Library window project, appoint Eric Van Cura to the Utility Board, and consider for approval hiring a new City Hall employee.

The Council will then hear an update on the dead ash tree on South Finnegan Street and downtown trailer parking from the compliance officer and a departmental report from the street department. They will also hear the City Hall report, in which City Clerk Kris Arrasmith will discuss the Mitchell Park project, upcoming city wide garage sales and clean up, and give an update on the progress at 907 Main Street.

The meeting will begin at 6:30pm in the Council Chambers at City Hall. Raccoon Valley Radio will have results from the meeting later in the week.
