The Perry Public Library has a fun theme for this year’s children summer reading program.

According to Youth Services Librarian Laura Pieper, the theme for the summer program is “Adventure Begins at the Library.” Pieper mentions that there are weekly storytimes and special events that will follow the library’s theme. She details that children will be given log sheets in order to track the amount of time they spend reading, and reveals some great prizes that are up for grabs.

“An 18-inch American girl style doll with handmade clothes, a Botley stem robot, a lego race car kit, and a kindle fire kids pro.”

Pieper adds that this portion of the program is geared towards babies, preschoolers, and elementary level kids. Registration is required to participate, and Pieper describes that it can be done in person at the library or online at https://www.perry.lib.ia.us/services/programs.
