A well-known company celebrated its newest footprint in Jefferson Thursday afternoon.

A ribbon-cutting and grand opening was held for Eye Care Associates, inside the Lincoln Building. Owner Dr. Cassandra Martinson says Eye Care Associates has locations in Perry, Panora and Stuart and she talks about why they wanted to have a location in Jefferson.

“I feel like Jefferson is a growing community, I mean it’s a wonderful community. I grew up not far from here in Coon Rapids, so I do know the area pretty well. I know a lot of people here and it’s been a great place to be, so it’s seemed perfect.”    

Dr. Martinson notes that they provide full health eye services, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, diabetes, dry eye and they have contacts, glasses and specialty glasses. She talks about what her favorite part is with being with the company for 11 years.

“Our group that we have here. So right now we are very proud of all of our staff that we have because we have a great staff that we built and everybody works well together. They truly are here to take care of the patients and really want to make people’s lives better, which makes everyday great.” 

The hours that Eye Care Associates is open is Monday through Friday from 8:30am-5pm.
