Today is the June Primary Election and there are several polling locations in Greene County.
According to the Greene County Auditor’s Office, both Jefferson precincts are to vote at the Greene County Community Center. The central precinct is at Clover Hall on the Greene County Fairgrounds. Eligible voters in the north precinct are to go to the Churdan Community Center. The west precinct polling location is at the Scranton Community Room/City Hall. Those voting in the east precinct are required to be at the St. Brigid’s Parish Center in Grand Junction. The polls are open from 7am-8pm today.
There is one contested primary race in Greene County, with two Republicans running for the Greene County Supervisor District Five seat with incumbent Pete Bardole and newcomer Sue Bose. Voters are reminded to bring proof of identification in order to receive a ballot. Those individuals who are not pre-registered in their current voting precinct, individuals who are registering to vote today and those who changed their precinct, must also provide proof of residency, along with identification.
