A resource center for those affected by the disastrous tornado that went through Greenfield will be open tomorrow and Monday at the Nodaway Valley Elementary School.

Adair and Guthrie County Emergency Management Agency is partnering with several local disaster assistance organizations to hold a Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC). The MARC will be open from 11am to 3pm tomorrow and 3-7pm Monday to assist those needing help to create personal recovery plans, locate assistance for specific needs related to the disaster and navigate paperwork.

Government, nonprofit, and religious affiliated disaster relief group representatives will also be on hand to assist, along with agencies that can help with long-term recovery assistance. Individuals and families can meet with these agencies for referrals or other long-term options if their family isn’t eligible for government assistance or if the assistance they can get is inadequate to meet their needs. Everyone wishing to attend is encouraged to bring identification showing an address and proof of residence to be eligible with some agencies.
