Two recent graduate students from Perry High School (PHS) earned dual degrees.

Perry Seniors Lily Riley and Kaylee Wuebker were apart of the 2024 graduating class of both PHS and Des Moines Area Community College’s (DMACC) VanKirk Career Academy. A press release confirms that the seniors simultaneously received an Associate’s Degree from DMACC. The community colleges’ advantage program gives students the opportunity to take college level classes going towards their profession.

The press release states that Riley and Wuebker plan to continue their education at four-year universities as they will enter as juniors with the credits they’ve earned through DMACC. The community college created an initiative called “Future Ready Perry” to ensure pathways to college for high school students.

Congratulations to Lily Riley (pictured above) and Kaylee Wuebker (pictured below).
