PCM jumped out to an early 3-0 lead and never looked back Wednesday night defeating Perry 7-0 in Heart of Iowa softball action at the PAC. The Mustangs scored a single run in the first inning and came back with two more in the second before securing the game with three late runs in the sixth inning.
PCM finished with 12 hits as Hadley Millang led the way with two hits, including a two-run homerun.
The Mustang pitching duo of Camden Webb and Rylee Parsons combined to allow only one Perry hit on the night. Parsons struck out nine over 4 1/3 to earn the win while Webb secured the save with 2 2/3 perfect relief.
Perry falls to 2-2 on the season and 2-2 in the Heart of Iowa. The Jayettes travel to Saydel Friday night for varsity action. You can listen to the game on KDLS.
